Class 1 Building Product Information Sheet - Interbloc Precast Concrete Block construction System
NZ Government regulations require manufacturers of building products to provide a minimum amount of information related to there products. This articles contains information related to Interbloc.

Interbloc Precast Wall System

Interbloc is a modular precast wall system. The system consists of 12 configurations of wetcase concrete blocks of varying sizes and weights across two versions - the primary difference between the versions being the aesthetic finish on the blocks. 

The following block types make up the system;

  • 6IB1200STD - 1200 Standard block - 1200mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1000kg - main building block for wall.
  • 6IB1200FT - 1200 Flat Top block - 1200mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1000kg - finishing top of wall with flat surface.
  • 6IB1200FB - 1200 Flat Bottom block - 1200mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1000kg - base layer of wall where sealing required.
  • 6IB1200CAP - 1200 Capper block - 1200mm x 600mm x 600mm - 600kg - finish top of wall with angle. 
  • 6IB1800STD - 1800 Standard block - 1800mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1500kg - end of walls and interlocking wall joints.
  • 6IB1800FT - 1800 Flat Top block - 1800mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1500kg - finishing top of wall with flat surface.
  • 6IB1800FB - 1800 Flat Bottom block - 1800mm x 600mm x 600mm - 1500kg - base layer of wall where sealing required.
  • 6IB600STD - 600 Standard block - 600mm x 600mm x 600mm - 500kg - alternative to 1800 block. 
  • 6IB600FT - 600 Flat Top block - 600mm x 600mm x 600mm - 500kg - alternative to 1800 block. 
  • 6IB600CAP - 600 Capper block - 600mm x 600mm x 600mm - 500kg - alternative to 1800 block. 
  • 6IB600ANG - 600 Angle block - 600mm x 600mm x 600mm - 500kg - alternative to 1800 block.

Compliance Statement:

NZS3104 and NZS3121 - Envirocon only sources concrete from manufacturers which belong to the Concrete NZ Plant Audit Scheme and in compliance with the above clauses.

Envirocon's precast elements are designed in dimensions to help design retaining structures complying with B1/VM4 and Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering Practice Module 6.

Limitations:

When used in structural applications Interbloc should be installed in accordance with structural engineering designs issued by a registered engineer and covered by a PS1.

Design Requirements:

Use of reinforcing - whether vertical steel reinforcing or cast in geogrid for mechanically stabilised earth walls - to suit specific requirements of structure.
